My target 40 kms
40km for Autism Awareness: Awareness in Every Step Running to turn awareness into action—for my daughter and for others like her.
I’m taking part in Run 40k in October with Run for Autism to raise money for a cause that means a great deal to me personally.
I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until my mid-40s, and it was only then that I also learned I most likely have Autism. Looking back, I can see just how different my life might have been with the right support in place.
Now, as a father to my incredible daughter Milly—who has both Autism and ADHD—I witness first-hand the daily challenges she faces, particularly within mainstream education. Getting appropriate support can be incredibly difficult, and access to the right external provision can make a world of difference.
That’s why I’m passionate about raising funds and awareness to help others get the support they deserve.
Run for Autism is a fundraising challenge organised by the Autism Initiatives Group, a charity working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential, and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
I’ll be running 40km throughout October to support this fantastic cause.
Please consider sponsoring me—any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated! 😊
Well done, Ben. We know you will do this x
