I'm running for..... Little Jim
I've recently got massively back into my fitness and the absolute wonders it's worked for my health and sorting my head out have literally changed my life. This time 6 months ago I wouldn't have even bothered going a run never mind signing up for a challenge like this one so to combine 2 things that means a lot to me seemed the right time to sign up. I'm going to run 50KM in October in honour of one of the best little girls I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, Sunday name Imogen but to me always little Jim, We knew when she was young something didn't quite sit right with imo and after a few long years of learning and adjusting she did eventually get diagnosed as Autistic, although very functional she has struggled socially from a young age but with so much bravery and perseverance she has massively came on as shes got older, she is the most caring and loving little girl you could ever meet and I quite honestly think that what she has overcame to become the amazing little human she is today is not short of remarkable. I messaged Imo to pick a number between 40 and 100 and that would be distance I'd run and she chose 50, So 50 KM it is for my little Jim. I've set a target of £250 but in all honesty anything at all is appreciated, this just feels more like a challenge to show her how proud I am of her and that anything I can donate in her name is a bonus.
