My Story

This October, I'll be taking on a challenge of running 50 kilometres to raise money for Autism Initiatives and those who know me know running isnt my strongest attribute!!

But this isn't just about running. It's about my son, Bobby.

Bobby is four years old and, although he hasn't yet received a formal diagnosis, he has additional educational needs and is showing many signs associated with autism. As parents, we're navigating appointments, assessments, uncertainty and the day-to-day challenges that many families in our position know all too well.
Like every parent, all I want is for my son to be happy, supported and given every opportunity to thrive. Every child deserves to be understood, accepted and celebrated for who they are.

Watching Bobby grow has taught me so much. He's funny, loving, determined and sees the world in his own unique way. While our journey hasn't always been easy, it's made me realise just how important organisations like Autism Initiatives are. They provide support, guidance and hope to families who often feel overwhelmed and unsure of what comes next.

That's why I've decided to challenge myself to run 50km this October.
There will be moments when it hurts. There will be times I'll want to stop. But whenever that happens, I'll think of Bobby and the determination he shows every single day. If he can face his challenges with courage, then I can keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Autism Initiatives continue supporting autistic people and their families. Your generosity will make a real difference to families walking a similar path to ours.

If you're able to donate, share this page, or simply cheer me on throughout October, I would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Bobby, and supporting a cause that means so much to our family.

I'm running for.....

Run for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be running 40Km in October to raise money for this fantastic charity!

Please sponsor me, any donation big or small is greatly appreciated 😊
