Bromley Beacon Academy are raising funds in support Autism, by making an attempt to become more active every day whilst in school.
We are an SEMH school consisting of 159 across two sites, one based in Orpington and the other in Bromley. The goal is for our Orpington site take on the challenge to complete a whopping 3 million steps across the whole school.
Approximately 70 pupils lead by staff will be given pedometers to track their steps across the week. We will aim for each student to complete roughly 5000-7000 steps each day for 4 days. Students will then be taken on a long and challenging 5.5mile hike around high elms country park on the final day in attempt to reach our weekly school goal of 3 million.
