And that’s a wrap!! 

I can’t thank each and every one of you enough. When I signed up for this, my target was £125. Right now my fundraising page is at £747!!! It’s way beyond anything I thought I could raise. 

The final day lands us on Autism Awareness Day. I have never shared this on social media, not because I’m embarrassed or ashamed but because I didn’t feel the need to tell 100’s of people, Fletchers personal life. It’s opening him up to 100’s of people, which lots of, I don’t really know. But I am so incredibly proud of my amazing boy, he deserves the awareness and understanding of autism and I can help with that, by doing this. 

Fletcher was diagnosed with Autism in July 2022 at 2.5years old. Fletcher is also “pre-verbal” which means he doesn’t speak, not a signal word. Every day is a fight for him to get what he deserves and what he needs. But also it’s a fight for people to understand. For people to accept and not question stuff or ask why. He is, who is he and that’s okay because he is the happiest boy in the world. Even though he hasn’t cut a break medically, since the day he was born. He does it all with a smile on his face. 

I hope one day raising awareness will mean Fletcher can be accepted into a world that really isn’t build for children like him. I hope one day, when we’re old and can’t care for him, I’ll be able to feel assured he will be safe in this world. 

Fletcher I’ll forever be by your side and forever love you more than you know. Thank you for the endless lessons you teach me. Thank you for reaching me how to communicate without using words. The world’s your oyster, Fletch!! This is all for you baby boy 💚💚💚

I'm walking for......Fletcher

I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26 March to 2 April. I hoping to raise as much money as possible to help children and adults with Autism. If you can spare anything, I’ll be grateful. If you can’t spare money, please just share this. 

This is a charity challenge called Walk for Autism.  It’s a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
