Why im walking for Autism

I am walking for Autism to raise awareness and support for individuals with Autism and their families. Autism is very close to my heart, as my son was diagnosed shortly after his third birthday. Despite his challenges, my son expresses love without words. He struggles daily with regulating his emotions and expressing himself. As he grows, his understanding of the world improves, but so do his daily struggles. Unfortunately, the support available to him and our family is often hard to come by. 

Many families. Including ours, face long waits for essential services like speech therapy, dieticians and social workers. These professionals can provide crucial guidance and support, yet accessing them is a constant battle. We find ourselves being passed from one place to another without receiving the help we need. By participating in this walk, I hope to shine a light on these issues and advocate for better support systems for all families with loved ones with Autism.
