Total 115,030 steps

My goal 80000 steps

Logan & Tegan

Our children have both been diagnosed with autism,

September 2021: Our son, Logan was diagnosed with Autism.

September 2024: Our daughter was diagnosed with Autism.

In 2022: I did WALK FOR AUTISM for him & for my brother, I only set a goal of £100 and I reached £101 after walking 82,000 steps!

Unfortunately March 2023 I couldn’t do Walk for Autism due to my health 😔

So this year I WILL WALK FOR AUTISM again for them, this time with my dog, Bolt ♥️

I would walk to the ends of the earth for these two ♾️♥️

Raising two children so close in age with Autism is incredibly hard, one reason for this in our case is because they are opposites which means Logan is Hypersensitive & Tegan is Hyposensitive so one can easily irritate the other without realising.

Not many people understand Autism and a lot of people will assume a child screaming in the shop is just plain naughty, a child ‘hand flapping’ is weird and funny, Having the same constant food is lazy parenting and unhealthy BUT if these people looked a little harder and educated themselves they would know that:

- The naughty child in the shop is struggling with sensory overload and the parent is having anxiety issues everytime they take the child to the shop with them.

- The child ‘hand flapping’ is using a method called stimming to relieve any overloads or anxiety and there is nothing funny about it.

- The child eating the same food doesn’t have lazy parents! The child eats the same food because it’s their safe food, it’s what makes them comfortable and safe. Routine also plays a big part in this!

THIS is why I’m walking for autism, awareness means everything!

I'm walking for my Son & Daughter.

I’m raising funds for autism! Please sponsor me today! I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge. I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26 March to 2 April. Please sponsor me. Anything helps . Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
