Total 114,923 steps

My goal 80000 steps

That's a wrap!

We smashed it! We honestly couldn't have done it without all the support off everyone along the way. As you may know H has struggled walking to the shop due to his feet but he managed to walk 40000 + steps he liked pretending sponsors were really his subscribers and kept asking how many likes he had 🫣🤣.

We took time to enjoy being back in the outdoors together and discovering new places even in the typical British weather.

I am so proud of him and myself for sticking to a goal and keeping myself motivated to do it!

Every penny does count and it will mean the world to some!
Thank you again.

Donations can still be made until April 30th x

Day 5,6 and 7.

The weather has not been on our side🙄 🤭.

But we did it. Day 5 and 6 10000 and 9560. Day 7 unfortunately I only managed 4590 but only 3950 away from the 80000 step target...

Huge thankyou for the continued support!

Day 3

A very wet day to say the least!
I completed 12000 steps at work and then after our toad in the hole, Harrison and I did a YouTube walking workout 💪 was alot of fun. In total a huge 21000 steps today.

I am setting up camp tomorrow so will be aiming to do a nice walk home to get some extra steps in.

We have reached £250 meaning I get a shiny silver medal when I have completed the walk next week 😍🥈 so a Huge thank you to all the sponsors!!

DAY ONE COMPLETED IT 👍🏻

So day 1 started the walk a little earlier than I would for the rest of the days but as we are off school and work a PE activity was on the schedule after maths so that's what we did. A little wet from the lovely British drizzle we saw the old sarum castle, walked along a dirt track in the woods, took a detour to the river before heading to wilton road. The aim was to try walking to wilton but little legs decided he was too tired to continue. H has problems with his achilles which is a very typical of an ASD child  so is wearing special insoles. This is the longest walk in 3 years without complaining of pain after 7 minutes (no joke)! So 9750 steps for me he has definitely hit nearing 20000 with his little legs!
All in all proud day. Atleast he will sleep well 🚶🤞🏼🫶

Messy walk

Yesterday morning Harrison and I walked to taekwondo which was 2.8km from the house, it wasn't 10000 steps but it was 8500 so I am sure on the 26th he will be able to do the full amount with me.
After an attempted run with the dog yesterday evening, I managed to trip in a very muddy bog 🤣😳.

T-shirt has arrived!

All starting to get real!
My t-shirt has arrived, I am still a bit off my target of £150.

Just £12 helps provide sensory things for children, £16 can provide autistic adults with new skills, £22 can help towards combating friendships and reducing loneliness in autistic children and £26 could help families with well deserved and needed support!

Every penny counts, I am not just walking for Harrison but I am walking for all the families with an ASD child!

Please get behind me or join the campaign yourselves!

Harrison has asked to join me on my walks so March 26th-2nd April we shall be doing daily updates on my social media along with my step count! Aim is for 10,000 steps a day.

Why I am doing it...

Back in 2018 I embarked on a new role as a SEN teacher only knowing a little about ASD/Autism. These children really opened my eyes and allowed me to focus on minor details not the whole picture!

Fast forward to 2022 with my own bundle of joy. I started noticing some things he thrived in more than his peers and others he found quite challenging. 2023 he was diagnosed with Autism.

Although I am knowledgeable in autism, I believe there is a huge battle to climb in regards to more awareness and with society expectations. So I am a walking for Autism and hope your sponsors will help make the change. X

I'm walking for Autism, for Family, for the initiatives, the trainings of others and for me!

I’m raising funds for autism! Please sponsor me today! I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge. I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26 March to 2 April. Please sponsor me. Anything helps . Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
