Climbing Snowdon to Support Peterhouse School

By Katie Henderson

Why?

My son Logan is non-verbal autistic, and since starting at Peterhouse School, the change and development in him cannot be put into words.

Logan is genuinely excited to go into school every single day — something I never thought I’d be able to say with such confidence. The staff at Peterhouse don’t see limits; they see potential. Children who are so often written off are given the opportunity to experience the same things and access the same opportunities as other children, at their own pace and in their own way.

This belief — that autistic children deserve the same experiences, dignity, and joy as any other child — is what makes Peterhouse so special. It isn’t just about education; it’s about belonging, confidence, and being understood.

Raising money for additional equipment or experiences for autistic children feels incredibly important to me, because these things can open doors that once felt closed. For our family, Peterhouse has been more than a school — it has been a lifeline.

At the end of May, I’ll be climbing Snowdon to raise funds in support of Peterhouse School, via Autism Initiatives.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story, and for any support you’re able to give — whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply cheering me on

Do you want to join me in supporting a good cause? I’m raising money for Autism Initiatives Group and your contribution will make a positive impact, whether you donate a lot or a little. Anything helps. Thank you for your support. I’ve included information about Autism Initiatives Group below.
