💛 Entering 2024 I know I wanted to do more for the ASD community but had no idea where to start. I have some ideas which I plan to act on in the near future however I want to develop and broaden my understanding before I commit to those. 

I came across this ‘Walk For Autism’ page this morning and immedietly thought, this is where I start. 

Raising funds for this community are so important as it allows our children to have the right to individual resources and the 1-1 teaching they need to flourish in schools without getting over looked.

Rocci’s preschool have been nothing but supportive & continue to help him in every way they can, they rely heavily on any help/financial aid to make this possible. In order to make Rocci’s transition to mainstream school as smooth as possible I will rely massively on the schools resources, I have already planned steps for this by having meetings with SENCO but for them to continue to offer this service to ASD students they need this backing. 

About us - The funds we raise big or small makes a positive impact to the work of Autism Initiatives Group. Without the vital funds these autism specific projects would not be possible.

Having these funds available to this charity ensures that Autism Initiatives Group can give the necessary expert support to children in mainstream schools.
Our OFSTED Excellent rated schools provide the unique autism specialist approach required for each individual child and young person.

We provide an autism specialist approach and understanding to individual children in mainstream school, and also deliver specific training for teaching staff and parents

We work with individuals and families to provide the specialist approach and understanding needed in their homes and alongside them out in their community.

Using our specialist approach and understanding we provide short breaks for autistic people of all ages we also provide opportunities for people with shared interests to meet and form social groups together. 

Therefore, in any way I can, I plan to help this community. I will start small and finish big, for a lot of children - we are their only voice.
