In October 2023, Jamie was diagnosed with autism at age 3 His journey began with early signs at just 1 year old: a lack of eye contact, unresponsiveness to his name, and minimal need for sleep. Being born during the COVID era left me wondering if these behaviors stemmed from isolation rather than autism.Jamie, now nonverbal but vocal, thrives at Glaitness Nursery with additional support in a smaller class setting. He finds joy in arranging toys meticulously, though not always in the typical play patterns seen in neurotypical children.My Achievements
