I'm walking for...... my little boy Stanley 🫶🏻
After a very scary regression at 12 months old, Stanley was diagnosed at 18 months old with ASD, SPD, Speech Disorder (non verbal), Developmental Impairment and a sleep disorder… We have been on this journey with our little man for over 3 years with potentially further diagnosis’s to go. There have been some unthinkable lows during that time but in the last year, with the support of Stanley’s incredible team, we’ve had some amazing highs.
We’ve had to open our minds, grieve, learn and change all at the same time. If I’ve learnt anything in the last 3 years is that every persons journey is different but the struggles are relative and relatable.
Behind every SEN child is a parent/family fighting with everything they have for the basic rights, support and understanding from a world that wasn’t built for them.
Ultimately all children no matter the challenges they face have the right to a happy life with the same opportunities as anyone else.
This charity does exactly that.
Starting on the 26th March I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day for 8 days in honour of my son to raise money for this charity.
