My Walk for Autism Challenge

Total 0 steps

My goal 120000 steps

My reason.

My little boy is 4 years old and was diagnosed with Autism last year. These past 4 years he has taught me so much about life, about myself and about other people.

He has taught me to never take things for granted, to appreciate every achievement no matter how big or small. To never compare myself or others because we are all different and that’s what makes us so special. He has taught me pure and unconditional love, a kind I’ve never experienced before.

The past few years have been a rollercoaster, one that I would get on a million times. There’s been up and there’s been downs but through it all he thrives. I am so proud of him, and to be his parent. I love every part of him and I celebrate his autism because it’s what makes him who he is. He is kind, he is funny, he is loving, he is happy and he is so intelligent. Autism is his strength never his weakness.

Getting the help and support he needed was incredibly difficult. I had to fight like hell for years just so he could be heard. It shouldn’t be this hard, this lonely and this exhausting. I’m doing this walk to raise awareness for my son so other parents can teach their children about children like mine. So every person and family going through the same experiences feels less alone and gets the support they need.

I’m walking for…… every child & family with autism.

Please sponsor me today and help me raise as much money as I possibly can!

Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group supports children and families with autism working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

I'll be walking a total of 15,000 steps a day from 26th March - 2nd April. I’ll be tracking and documenting everything on my Apple Watch which I will be posting on my social media to keep everyone updated.

If I raise over £500 I will become one of Walk for Autism’s Fundraising Legends and will appear on the  Fundraising Legends Wall. I will also be gifted a really special Walk For Autism legend gold medal, a wristband and a printed thank you certificate!🥹

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated and makes more of a difference than you realise. If you donate there’s an option to write a little message which will go on my page or an option to be anonymous if preferred.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this🫶🏽
