Day 8
So sad that this walk is ending. It’s been great fun, getting outside. We’ve definitely been out more than we would have. We’ve managed to hit over 20,000 everyday which is great.Day 7
A great day hitting target and some with a day at the football. Two kids, one a mascot so having the best day meeting the players, having a kick about on the pitch, getting his shirt signed. Loving his football and trophy they gave him. A fab day, not so pleased with the score but you can’t have it all. The sun shone and gave the game blue skies.Day 6
Happy Easter 🐰 started the day of running around being the Easter bunny. Egg hunts, chocolate for breakfast and Turkey dinner. Managed to hit just over 20,000 steps. Least amount so far, will have to get my walk back on tomorrow. Here’s to day 7! Almost there. Still getting sponsors 👏🏻 so very grateful to all xDay 5
Best day so far! Best weather, most steps and we’ve smashed target and had a text to say we’ve raised enough to get a certificate, wrist band and silver medal 🥈The kids will be buzzing. So grateful to all sponsors so far.Day 4
Today was get out when the skies are blue, getting the steps in and trying to tidy the garden. So lucky i didn’t get wet, managed to dodge the showers/ hail stones. Happy Good Friday. Todays steps 27,500.Day 3
Well we’ve smashed today! 28,539 steps today. We woke up and got ready for the park with rain forcast again most of the day we decided to head out early. We had the whole park to our selves for over two hours. Before the rain came we headed home and had a few laps up and down on bikes. Leo is loving all of this and he’s even got a watch to track his own steps. He’d done 10,000 before mid day and he’d hit 20,000 before bed. He was buzzing. Love how we’re all in this together it’s a real team effort which is great. Looking forward to day 4 (half way there) xDay 2
It’s rained a lot today so we just got out for some bike/ scooter riding and I could run up and down getting steps in. It was nowhere near enough so after dinner when the sunshine came out we went for a mega walk, saw the ducks & swans, walked over bridges, jumped over giant puddles trying not to get wet soggy feet, saw the sun set and they walked past bedtime. Little legs were getting tired, we actually counted and ten of my steps = 15 steps for them. Fair play to them helping me hit our target. They’re so excited with the steps going up & the pounds too. So close now to getting a medal 🏅 here’s to day 3 💪🏻Day 1
Wow the kids have walked today!! I hadn’t realised when I signed up back in January that this was during the School holidays. It’s a challenge in it self just getting three kids ready and out and getting them walking. I increased my steps from 10,000 to 20,000 so now I’m dragging them around and today we’ve walked, ran, played football, been in the park and yes they collapsed on the grass and lay down. All three were asleep fast tonight. We were lucky with the weather. I’m thinking tomorrow will be wellies & umbrellas but we’ll carry on. Thank you soooo much to our amazing sponsors. Today was 22,150 steps if that’s my amount who knows how many steps that was for them 💪🏻👏🏻 xThank you to each & every one of you
Thank you all so much for coming to my page and reading. If you’re here you’re either sponsoring or sharing for me. I’m walking to give something back. Walk for Autism is very close to my heart. I’m learning every day and I’m sure I’ll continue to with my little ones.I’m walking to make my boy proud
I’m beyond proud of my baby. When the professionals tell you your two year old is non verbal Autistic never in your wildest dreams do you think they’ll stand up in a reception class assembly with 60 children on stage and say his line into the microphone. I’m beyond proud of his progress and now want to give something back. So much money is needed for therapies, educational support, specialist groups, out reach support, community hubs, respite, supported living, one stop shops and generally spreading awareness.I'm walking for......
