Walking for autism

Walking for Autism. 

For those that know me they will know I am lucky enough to have a job that I adore as a Senco assistant in a nursery school. I am extremely passionate about providing education and support for children with autism and enabling them to meet their potential. I have seen first hand the importance of how much early intervention can help which is why I am going to be raising money and awareness for this cause.

I am lucky to have worked with many very special children with autism and helped support them and their families. It is through this that I met one of my best friends Polly, as I had the privilege of being a part of her beautiful son Berty’s nursery adventure. I was able to watch Berty blossom day by day with his communication, his hilarious sense of humour, his affection and his ability to make everyone that met him just fall in love with the beautiful boy he is!
I have made myself part of Polly’s team for “walk for autism” to raise funds for incredible charities that supports those with autism. If you take a look at this page Polly will go into detail as to how some of those charities have made huge difference to the start of Berty’s journey with autism.

I will be walking 15,000 steps a day instead of the 10,000!
