Massive thank you once again to Arriva Telford for all your support. These guys have always gone above and beyond to support tommy! From VIP bus rides in his favourite bus, tours of the depot, fist bumps, cuddles and hellos, building a sensory bus to play with and in for him matching a life size rainbow bus they have and now to all chipping in and donating today. Hi everyone, I am Tommy! I’m nearly 4 years old and have recently been diagnosed with high end autism. I struggle to verbalise some of my needs, in particular and enjoy rigid routines! I can’t do things some other children my age do like socialise at nursery settings, draw faces, speak the alphabet and more. Some days are harder for me than others! I have always had so much support from friends and family I have appointments with speech and language therapists, paediatricians and other members of a multidisciplinary team.I'm walking for...... my son
I’m raising funds for autism! This is close to my heart, Tommy had a diagnosis for autism in November 2023, there needs to be more awareness and support for those on the spectrum, it is such a broad spectrum and each person is individual and unique. Tommy loves his buses, routine, peppa pig and a very select few other things - some of which people don’t understand and often do not see and accept his day to day struggles or him for being him!. Please sponsor me today! I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge. I’ll be walking 8,000 steps a day from 26 March to 2 April. Please sponsor me. Anything helps it doesn’t matter if it’s £1 or £10 . Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in. He is not “different” he is unique like anybody else is and I want to stand up for autism and spread awareness.
