Why I am walking for Autism.

I'm walking for Autism as I was diagnosed autistic May 2023. Finding out I was nuerodivergent was life changing for me.

I have achieved many milestones in life unknowingly being neurodivergent, but I have always felt different, irrelevant, ignored. I have tried for many years to fit in a world that is not built for people like me. I am still adjusting to life newly diagnosed. 

I decided that doing something positive and helping people like me access the services I have used to help them learn about themselves. That's why I have decided to walk for Autism this year. 

I am hoping to raise money to help atleast one other person in this world that may feel like me back then. Hopefully with your kind donations you can help change one person's life too.

I'm walking for Autism. My name is Rachel Gore, I was diagnosed Autistic May 2023 and its completely changed my life. Its made me realise that for many years I've been trying to conform to societal norms which were not for me.

I’m raising funds for autism! Please sponsor me today! I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge. I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26 March to 2 April. Please sponsor me. Anything helps . Walk for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
