My Walk for Autism Challenge

Total 221,799 steps
World Autism Acceptance Day day 8
It’s the last Day of walking, it’s bitter sweet in a way, I set myself a challenge which at the time I thought might have been too much, 25,000 steps a day…. But I realised if I put my mind to it I can do it. My youngest was always at the back of my mind.Day 7 Nearly at the End
So this mornings walk took a route so I could get a photo of the Daffodils near the town centre, you will have to look at my photos to see them a beautiful sea of Yellow. I then topped up more steps walking to and from Luke’s School run and finally getting the last few 1000 by walking round the block and again seeing the sunset which was beautiful.Day 6 Monday madness and three hair changes
So as I had swimming with a friend it was a simple up do to start for my hair this morning, I got a walking in after school drop off before meeting my friend I got off the bus to my friend a few stops early to get extra steps in before our swim, after swim hair change to a simple side plait with my green sequin scrunchy, I then had the school run walks to get my steps up I picked both both up, then home to sort the boys dinner before my third change up for Zumba, I then decided to walk to and from Zumba to get my full 25,000 steps by walking in. However with the walking, swimming and Zumba I have knocked my first PB last week out of the first spot, I now have a new PB in total steps. Over 33,000.Day 5 Mother’s Day
So the clocks going forward threw me out a bit this morning and my plan to get a good morning walk in ended up in a shortened version which still got steps in but not as many as I wanted initially, planned lunch with my mum and sister I decided to walk to and from town to get more steps in, so there I am glammed up walking a sweat, after a lovely lunch, a mooch around the shops and the walk back I quickly changed into my t shirt and comfy leggings to do my final stint. Clocking over 26,000 steps I needed to work off that lovely lunch I had.Day 4 Saturday busy bees
So I combined a bit of my original walking route with a bit of the newer route and added a bit more new on for my morning walk, then did a bit a retail shopping but being parked well away from where we were going meant I could get my steps in I then finished off by walking round the block just to hit my target. I am worn out today. ☺️Day 3 End of day update
So the AM walk did clock quite a few steps so was handy as was out for Lunch combined with walking both schools runs today and finishing with a local walk round the block to get my last steps up. Smashed day 3. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻Day 3 new morning walking route
Day 3 I decided to try a different route just to change things up a bit. Let’s go 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻End of day 2
So to make sure I didn’t cheat I walked to my evening Clubbercise class, I hit a PB with my steps never clocked as many ever as today and I know I’ll be achy tomorrow but it all for a good cause.Day 2 AM walk
T shirt ready, hair ready, glitter ready, wellies ready a bit chilly this morning and I was glad to have the appropriate footwear on as the grass was still covered in dew or frost, no soggy feet today. 10,000+ steps done this morning 15,000 to go.End of Day 1
No going to lie my legs are achy this evening, but I nailed the 25,000+ steps it meant going round the block to get the last few 1000 in but i kept going. I got see a beautiful sunset at I did my evening steps. It’s been a great first day, onto Day 2.Day 1
A glorious morning, t shirt on, green hair in, green glitter on, trainer check, let’s go. This morning I clocked up around 9,000 steps note to self I still be to wear wellies in the mornings even with the sun shining.Walking routes found
So last week I tried a variety of routes to walk to get in my steps hopefully I will hit my daily target of 25,000 steps a day 💪🏻☺️I'm walking for......my son, awareness and acceptance
Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
