I am an Autistic Adult and Mum of amazing Autistic daughters…

As someone who went undiagnosed until Adulthood, I am passionate about raising awareness, acceptance and accommodation of Neurodivergent minds.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 31 years old, I was then diagnosed Autistic at the age of 33. 

As a Mum of three young Daughters who are also Neurodivergent with diagnoses of Autism and ADHD, Autism and one who is still awaiting formal diagnosis of Neurodevelopmental differences in line with ADHD/Autism. I feel it is vital we strive towards a better knowledge and understanding of Neurodevelopmental differences, especially in girls/woman who don’t always present with the stereotypical view of Autism. 

I’m taking part in the Walk for Autism challenge, to raise awareness, acceptance and understanding for all Autistic individuals young and old, newly diagnosed, undiagnosed or otherwise. 

I’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day from 26th of March - 2nd of April (which just happens to be world Autism acceptance day) to help raise funds for Autism Initiatives Group. 

Working towards a world where every Autistic person has access to the right support if or when we need it. A world where all Autistic individuals have every opportunity to thrive and show our full potential, with a supportive, inclusive community to live in as our true authentic selves without any need to mask just to feel like we are accepted and fit it.

No two minds think the same, we are all different and unique in our own wonderful way!
