My target 60 kms
I'm running for.....
I’m not a runner – in fact, I only started running in August, but this October, I have set myself the challenge of running 60km in support of Autism UK. When I saw the chance to raise money for this amazing charity, I immediately thought of Jacob, my lovely colleague Kathryn’s son. Jacob is such an incredible boy, and knowing him has opened my eyes and inspired me to do more to support people with autism and their families.
Taking on this challenge feels like a small way I can help make a difference, by raising both awareness and funds for the vital support that Autism UK provides to individuals and families. Every step of the 60km I run will be for Jacob, and for so many others whose lives are touched by autism.
Run for Autism is a fundraising challenge run by Autism Initiatives Group. Autism Initiatives Group is working towards a world where every autistic person has the support they need to thrive, every opportunity to fulfil their potential and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.
