Hi my name is Belinda and I am a mum to 4 beautiful babies.
My third baby, Callie-Rose was first suspected to be on the spectrum at only 16 months old. Being a ‘Lockdown Baby’ (2020), we had her 12 month review over the phone, and we put it down to lack of social interaction as to why she wasn’t hitting her milestones.
At 14 months old the babbling stopped. She didn’t laugh as much to little games like ‘tickle monster’. Became quite fussy with foods. She started spinning in circles as soon as she learnt to walk.
And then there was that very low score at 16 months old so I signed the paperwork to put Callie-Rose on the very long waiting list for an Autism Assessment.
And that was the start of our autism journey.
In August of 2023, Callie-Rose at the tender age of 3 years old, got an official autism diagnosis.
