My Walk for Autism Challenge

Total 0 steps

My goal 100000 steps

Living with Autism

Autism comes with many challenges, both from person with the diagnosis and challenges getting the right support and help needed.

More awareness is needed to help others understand, getting to the age of 20/30 or even 40's and beyond is unacceptable, the lack of understanding and recognizing the signs means people are living for years under low mood an not knowing why... Mis diagnosis, once diagnosed it helps many find peace and understanding within one's self.

There's no cure but with better knowledge being shared and more awareness hopefully the ignore will stop!

I'm walking for my daughter & son, Alissia & Alfie

I have watched 2 of my children grow and struggle in a world that lacks understanding regarding Autism, the battles for the correct support are met by hurdle after hurdle. Everything is a long draining fight just to get the right help and setting, things need to change!

Awareness also needs to be spread as recent years show an increase in diagnosis in Adults now being diagnosed due to lack of information years back... I myself am now awaiting assessment for Autism & ADHD, after learning more myself and multiple therapy approaches over the years raised suspicion. I'm nearly 40!

Let's stop things like this getting missed and raise more awareness...

I'll be walking a total of 12,500 steps a day 26th March and 2nd April to raise money for this charity.

Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated 😊
